Wow! That was a lot of photos. Is this what happens when there is rocket fuel in your needles? Because yet again I have completed a shawl in 10 days! Ten days folks! No idea. The pink ( and yes there is a little glitch in the front...must have been when I refueled :)) is the Arroyo shawl. Knit in worsted weight it will go quickly. It has a little purple tint to it. Not a true ballet pink, but close.
I have moved on to the Ka'ana shawl. Another worsted weight that will be finished soon. I am planning on having both of these with me as we travel far north in Sept. It will cool/cold in Montana/Idaho at that point. The yellow yarn is Lorna Laces Merino and it is so fabulous! Squishy! Don't you love squishy yarn?
If you have not read any of the Monica Ferris books I highly recommend. They are quick, easy reads with predictable plots, but all contain knitting and needlework. There must be 8 or 9 and I have read them all. This one was a long wait though. It has been a couple of years since the last one. And Anne Rivers Siddons is one of my all time favorite fiction writers and this one has been a long wait as well. Both came from the library last week.
If you also are a Jan Karon fan ( Mitford Series ) her new release is due Sept 2. I have already pre-ordered!!!
The yarn shop that ordered all those bags 3 weeks ago just ordered 10 more! I may need to take my machine in for service....I think it is running on rocket fuel as well. :))
Congrats on the additional orders! Encouraging and exciting.
ReplyDeleteDon't wear yourself out! One of these days that rocket fuel is going to run low. ;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't you hate those glitches? You can look at it and look at it and never figure out what happened!

ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shawl. I am spinning some grey shetland/alpaca that would work well with that pattern. I just love the yellow yarn with the blue bag. That's one of my favorite combinations. Congrats on the bag sales! That is awesome.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of the Monica Ferris book? I stopped reading her books a few years ago, as I didn't like some of the directions she went in them.
It has been so long that I read one I guess I must have missed something. I'm not having any issues with this one.
