Its finally here! My friend Elizabeth DeHority has a passion for orphans far and wide, especially those with disabilities . If you have read here before, my friend is dying. Terminal stage 4 triple negative breast cancer is taking her from us little by little and time is short.
A few weeks ago she sent me these gorgeous hand knit socks that she put 19.2 thousand stitches into. And if that wasn't enough she added a skein of her own hand dyed sock yarn. Elizabeth requested I make a Drawstrings bag to match the colors so that the 3 pieces could be raffled off for one of her families trying to rescue disabled, adoptive children from overseas.
I was finally put in touch with a special person doing just that. Here is their story. And now we can help make not only Elizabeth's wish come true, but assist Lettie and Brandi in being united with a family to love them. They are traveling at this moment, so hop over and help in whatever way you can.
this is lovely! Such an amazing tribute and beautiful gift from your friend. Do I just make a donation on the linked page to be entered?? Many blessings to you and your precious friend.
