Capturing the context of contentment in everyday life ~ Every Thursday, here at Like Mother, Like Daughter!

{Pretty}

Two of my grandchidren accompany me on Wednesdays to my bible study class.  Because they are in different rooms,each needed to have a bag.  I had made a Drawstring bag for them with their name monogrammed for easy identification.  Lilah, their older sister and the oldest female granddaughter saw the bags hanging in the cupboard and wanted to know where hers was.  She is just 3.  With a birthday coming up at the end of this month I surprised her this morning with her bag.  Her first words were" Grandmother, it sparkles!  Oh I love it!"  Heart melt :))))

{Happy}

Several months ago Aunt Leila put out an SOS for yarn.  In fact she went so far as to request a drone to drop what she needed from the sky.  I took it upon myself to send a package to her and that drone dropped not only the yarn she needed, but one of my Drawstring bags.  We had a chuckle about it via FB messages.  Imagine then my surprise when a drone dropped a package at my doorstep. In it was Aunt Leila's book!

{Funny}

Today I went to pick Lilah up at Preschool. Last week the school had an auction and I had bid on a cute sweater.  As a knitter this was hard, but I knew I was not going to get to the sweaters I had planned for this fall and the money would benifit the school.  Well, I won the sweater!  I picked it up today and I asked Lilah to hold it while I put her bags on the stroller. When I turned around this is what I saw!  Mind you it was 94 degrees outside.  They learn young:)))

My back is improving and I thank you for all your prayers.  Physical Therapy is not fun, but the outcome hopefully will keep me out of the operating room!

Glad you are feeling a bit better, but do keep taking good care of yourself! I care about that back of yours!!! :) I hope you have a day that is peaceful and in which you know of God's blessings in your beautiful life! :)

  5. My littles will wear completely weather-inappropriate clothes if they're new and exciting like that sweater - clearly she loves it!

    2. Love the bag for Lilah and the sweater. You inspired me to try a Lullaby Blanket. I've just completed the increases before the feather and fan section. The rows are so long, I'm both dreading and looking forward to doing a new section. How did you do more than one?!
