Well here it is! Welcome to my life! Why I think anyone would be remotely interested? Can't imagine. But Kathryn over at Team Whitaker is hosting this little party and since I love a get together ( even at my age ) I'm going to take you along with me.
It may be only 1 or 2 days I make it this week, but ha! My days are pretty much all the same. See one and you've seen them all :))
I'm a retired RN/Teacher, mother to 4 daughters and grandmother to 5 littles, ages 5,4,3,2,1! My mornings are spent running a small home business, Drawstrings, and the afternoons are spent behind the wheel of my Volvo doing school pickup. Last year I actually kept those little ones 4 days a week, but a back injury forced me into yet another retirement. So now I pick 4 of them up from preschool each day. I see all 5 every day and that is just icing on the cake!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but usually it is something quick. I begin the mornings with coffee and wait for the back pain to fade before I'm up and going.
Today, as most days, laundry waits.
Then off to get some work done and orders mailed out.
This morning I cut the last of the summer roses. With the cold weather approaching, it was nice to bring these final 4 inside.
A text from my daughter in Montana with a picture of the weather!
A stop a Central Market to purchase a new drink my youngest told me about. The girls are always harassing me about my Diet Coke habit. Let's see if this works.
After school pickup, I stayed with Patrick and Rachel for a while. Patrick had found this slug at my house over the weekend and is fascinated by it. His mommy...not so much. Even Rachel is captivated. But aren't all little sisters amazed at their older brothers?
A little swing time before mommy arrives home.
I forgot to take pictures of dinner. Just imagine baked chicken, sauteed zucchini and squash and rice.
Your day sounds nice Wanda. I think it's wonderful that you are able to see your grands everyday, I would love that.
ReplyDeletelots of blessings here! hard to have that back pain though... Lord bless and keep you!
