7 Quick Takes Friday

It is so about flowers around here right now.  Texas weather is trying to warm up.  We had a very warm winter ( except for the  6 inches of snow on Christmas Day!) and everything begin blooming weeks ago.  We now have had a cold snap and the flowers and me are in schock! The above picture is a beautiful Clematis.  Here is another.  This grows on the porch post outside the back door.

This has been a very long week.  I am still getting used to getting up again at 5:30.  It takes me a while to wake up and I have to leave my house at 7 am 4 mornings a week to drive to my oldest daughter's house to care for 3 of the grandchildren.  Tuesday is my day off because that is knitting group day.  I get to sleep on that morning!

Tomorrow it will warm up and I am going to work in the garden.

I consider myself pretty technological savy considering my age.  But at my daughter's the TV, Netflix, VCR combo is confusing.  Any others out there find this complicated?  I feel like I should be programming a spaceship!

Lots of talk on the blogs about grocery shopping and saving money.  Prices are skyrocketing and even though it is just 2 of us now, only one of us is working.  Bring on those tips!
