Linking up again to Ginny for Yarn Along.
I am about 7 rows away from finishing the Kudzu Shawl. I must say I am ready. Not really enjoying this particular Mad Tosh yarn. Maybe because I have been knitting with pima cotton in a sport weight for quite a while. But, it will be a good weight for the summer trips, so I just keep knitting on!
Two books on the nightstand. One, an easy read from the library. I have read all the Elm Creek Quilter books by Jennifer Chiaverni, so when I saw this on the New Fiction shelf I had to grab it. So far, so good. My daughter, Caitlin, knew I would be interested in this non-fiction title and I am just now getting to it. It is a theme that speaks dearly to me, especially as I see feminism rear its ugly head more and more. I am devoting a good amount of my reading time to this subject and hope to write a post about it in the near future.
Congrats to Ginny and her family on the announcement of another baby on the way!
That's really pretty. I really like those cables.
ReplyDeleteThat shawl is beautiful, Wanda!!! You'll drag that everywhere this summer!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! A lot more complicated than what I can do! Look forward to that post you are reading up for!
ReplyDeleteLove the tiny cables!! So delicate :) You do such lovely work!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you and another poster thought there were cables here. It is really just a series of decreases in order to shape the leaves! I am not much of a cable knitter. I would like to learn to make them without a cable needle. Do you know how?
Deletewhat a gorgeous shawl!!
