Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

My plan is to continue knitting on this blanket until August 10th.  The shower is the 11th.  I will wash and block it and wrap it up and my daughter will be pleased.  She always is.  This blanket seems like the more I knit ,the more I get no where.  Maybe it is the time of my life and the stress in the moment. More on that tomorrow.

It really is the loveliest turquoise although my camera cannot do it justice.  At some point I will discover the perfect light to shoot in and all will be well.

This arrived on my doorstep Saturday.  Madeline Tosh DK Twist in Chicory.  750 yards to become something exquisite.  Any suggestions?

I am still reading Grace Livingston Hill's Re-Creations. Lovely story.

What are you knitting and reading?  Join us all at Ginny's for Yarn Along.

  1. I find that taking pictures outside but not in direct sunlight gets the truest colors. Your blanket is so pretty. I really like that cable and lace stitch pattern. Your daughter is going to love it.

    1. You are so right! Just hard to find that perfect spot. I'm working on it! Texas sun makes it hard.

  5. Your blanket is wonderful. I can relate to that feeling of getting nowhere but it comes together eventually, doesn't it?
