An Unexpected Turn

Yesterday afternoon as I was taking my granddaughter to her mother, I suddenly lost the peripheral vision in my left eye.  Flashes of black and white for about 2 minutes.  It scared me as it came on so quickly, but then was gone.  A couple of hours later a mild headache ensued.

I made a call to the Dr. and was asked to come to the ER.  A battery of tests have been run and although the tests are clear, the Dr. feels it is possible I had a TIA ( trans ischemic attack) or a mini stroke.  I have stayed overnight in the hospital's PCU for observation.

To be honest, I am scared!  I watched my mother die this way and all the bad memories are sitting right in front of me.

An MRI this morning and a carotid sonogram and then hopefully home.  Please include me and my family in your prayers this morning.  I would be grateful.

  4. I will be praying for you. Keep trust in the Lord. I am 30 years old. I have had 3 full-blown strokes due to an undiagnosed blood disorder (2 at 18 years, 1 at 21 years. ZERO since they found the blood disorder). I did have some residual effects for awhile. I am fine now. Don't start thinking that because it happened to your mother it will happen the same way to you! As Elizabeth said - God will not leave you in this. Praying for healing and comfort!
