It was a fast and full weekend. We had our close friends here from Indiana and that always brings more to try to do than there is time.  You will notice that there are no pictures of she and I together.  We were busy!  We went on a semi Yarn Crawl, and entertained 15 of my family for a 30th birthday.  I will try to do better next time!

The flowers above are my Obedient Plant.  These were given to me when we moved into this house 25 years ago. One plant became a field!  The name comes from the fact that you can bend this plant at the stem and it will remain in that shape.  They are fall bloomers and the color is very welcome!

Must mention that the Texas Longhorns finally showed up to play football this season!  They beat OU!!!

Added wonderful yarn to my stash!  The 3rd picture is a yarn brought to me by my friend from a local dyer in her area. Can you see those pretty silver sparkles?  Love!

Mr. Golfer rarely gets into pictures, but I did capture him and my youngest daughter's boyfriend with the grandchildren.  It was a great party, but my hands were very busy preparing and serving!

I hope your weekend is lovely!  Please consider linking up so we can see your weekend as well!

  1. What a fulfilling weekend! Seeing your yarns and thinking about doing a yarn crawl with a good friend - I'm full of longing for those things. There aren't any yarn stores in Baja, and nobody knits here, so the only chance I get to hang out with knitters is when we're with our granddaughters in the States.

  2. Those are pretty flowers. My dad had one of those plants and they took over one corner of his yard, but they were fabulous. You got some nice yarn, and those family pics are great!

  3. I have never heard of an Obedient Plant, so pretty. The yarn is just beautiful but not as beautiful as that sweet babe in arms. It sounds like a wonderful weekend, especially filled with old friends and family!
