Yarn Along and a New Shawl

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

Wednesdays have become such a satisfying day for me.  I look forward each week to not only posting my knitting and reading progress, but seeing what so many others are doing as well.  It is also the morning that I spend with lovely ladies at Bible Study and fuels me for another week.

My  Wrapped in Leaves Shawl is complete.  Such a wonderful knit.  Of course Mad Tosh yarn is divine so all the better!

The colorway is Chicory.  Subtle shades of turquoise, grays and browns.  Stunning combinations.  I plan on wearing this next weekend when we do our annual family picture.

I finally had a chance to make a trip to the library today and came away with this.

Ambitious I am, but now that the temps are cooler, I see myself hibernating just a little more. Resting on top of this stack is a UFO from last year. Almost the first sock finished, this is Medallion Lace Socks in Heritage Paints Silk.

My sock drawer is lacking red, so I am anxious to add this to the stack!

As always, thank you Ginny for the opportunity to share!

    1. Thank you Steph! I love everything in Botanical Knits. I have the ebook on my iPad. When I sat down last night to work on the sock I realized I only had the toe to do. How quickly these will go!

  2. That shawl is absolutely beautiful. The leaves make it so special. I also like the lace pattern on the sock. I have yet to try knitting lace on a sock. Looks like you have a lot of reading ahead of you.

  6. What a beautiful shawl. I like your reading selections also. I have read Beverley Lewis and Lisa Scottoline, but many of the other authors you have chosen are on my "to read" list.
