Yarn Along and New Socks

Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

I posted these last week as almost complete, but now they are! It is nice to sometimes have "startitis" with our knitting.  I almost completed sock one a year ago, so when I picked it up to complete it, finishing sock two was quick and painless.  A new pair of socks in 2 weeks!  These are Medallion Lace Socks knit from Heritage Silk Paints.  They are just lovely. I absolutely love the way the pattern pops out!

Isn't this divine?!  Hazel Knits makes some of the most wonderful sock yarn.  This was gifted to me by my oldest daughter who knits her socks with nothing else. The colorway is Emerald City.  I have a pair of pants for winter just this color. I have decided it will be No Purl Monkey Socks.  I have wanted to knit this pattern for a long time, so here I go!

Reading has alluded me lately.  I have had a lot of stress over health insurance and concentrating on the books I had checked out from the library was impossible.  So today I purchased this:

Hoping the simple story will calm my nerves.  :)

Thanks again to Ginny!  Join me in praying for these last days of her pregnancy to be calm and full of joy!
