Yarn Along

The secret knitting continues but there has been much progress.  I took this past weekend to just chill and knit.  There comes a point where you just need to hibernate and so I did.

In the wee hours of this morning my oldest grandson suffered a critical asthma attack.  After 3 breathing treatments at home, my son in law, who has a paramedic background, called 911.  I know that must have been a hard call to make.  He is home now and I would like to say resting, but the steroids have him bouncing all over the place.  I'm keeping him here tomorrow and between myself and my youngest daughter, we two nurses should be able to handle him:)))

My reading continues to be wedding guest lists.  I have finally found an app that I can import the list into and manage the seating chart from my iPad.  Must. Love. Technology.

If you remember a few weeks ago I updated you on the condition of my friend, Elizabeth DeHority.  Her condition continues to worsen and finally I have been put in touch with someone to help me with the raffle.  In the next few days I will post all that here.  Those socks and her yarn above plus a matching Drawstrings bag will go to a lucky winner!

Linking up with Ginny!

  3. Love your mystery knit, it looks so fabulous. Sorry about your grandson. That is awful. Hope today goes well. Sounds like a wonderful app for the wedding. You really have your hands full lately. I'm always thankful for knitting, it gives me a calm feeling when everything gets a bit crazy. If you can get to it. Haha

  4. How scary what your grandson had to face, but I'm glad to hear he is home. I bet after keeping him for the day you will sleep very well. When I have Emerson here she keeps me on my toes.
I am so sorry to hear Elizabeth isn't too better, she remains in my prayers.

  5. Darcel's kids were in the ER last weekend with severe asthma, too. Our youngest son had it bad as an infant and into his boyhood; praise God (!!) he's mostly outgrown it. S-c-a-r-y! Technology is amazing on all fronts; a tool that makes life manageable, no? And medically, so thankful. Will keep your requests in my prayers. :)
