Yarn Along

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

I have returned to the blanket for my newest grandchild that arrives in September.  I must persevere on this blanket!  There are so many yarns and projects calling my name, but this is my priority.

If I continue straight through until Aug 9th, it should be ready for the shower on the 11th. :)

There is frustration on the reading front.  I checked out a stack at the library yesterday, so hopefully something will capture my interest.

What are you knitting and reading? Join Ginny at Yarn Along!

  2. I must tell you that I started knitting when my sister was newly pregnant. I wanted to make my first niece/nephew something special. I started a blanket. As a new knitter, the challenge was formidable. When my niece turned five, I gave her a scarf which is all the further I got on her blanket. Fortunately I now am able to finish blankets and much more! Good luck on both the blanket and finding a good read.

I am so with you on the reading front. I just finished an amazing book and have no idea what I want to read next.

    1. The nice thing about this blanket is it is really not cables. Just the way the knits and pulls make it look so!

  9. Your blanket looks lovely and warm. Sometimes I have several books here from the library and can't settle into one of them. Sometimes I think it's more to do with my frame of mind at the time, rather than the books! I hope you find something to spark your interest soon.
