Joining Aunt Leila today!

{Pretty}

If you have been on my blog the last few weeks you have seen me working on this blanket.  It is to be gifted to a special mother this weekend.  I have knit the Lullaby Blanket twice now and it continues to be a favorite!

{Happy}

Rachel just cracks me up.  We gave her brother, Patrick, the Cozy Coupe for his birthday, but she treats it like her own.  I picture her learning to master Happy Hour at Sonic very soon!

{Funny}

Last week I was using my iPad and heard Lilah cry out...." Grandmother!  There is a fairy Tinkerbell!" The sun had reflected off the screen and she was seeing it on the ceiling.  I started moving it around the room and the children had so much fun chasing it.  Simple pleasures.

We are under construction.  I hate construction in my house, but for 25 years I have asked for a real mantle with bookcases.  Mr. Golfer and my son in laws finally gave it to me.  There will be a complete post when it is all finished.  There is still much painting to do and the shelves still to add, but I am soooo happy!

    1. My hands are so sore from painting! All that brick on the top and round the fireplace opening I painted in one day plus the mantle!

  3. Your knitting has inspired me to slow down and do more long term projects. You have such a talent. Just finished a 1000 hour shawl for my mom - it was not enjoyable, but when I saw it on her yesterday for her 81st bday - it was divine. Thanks for the inspirations. Oh - and love the mantel!

    1. Yes they do take time, but 25 years is way too long! At least now the grand children's stocking have a place at Christmas!

    1. Once the shelves are in and I can move some books over there I will be most pleased. We have a leak in our chimney and until that is repaired I cannot have a fire. I hated that old bronze cover, but it sure left a mess! Paint is the ultimate fix!
