Yarn Along...Isn't She Lovely?!!

I have worn Whipporwill everyday since I finished her.  The drape is so lovely and because she is long I can just toss the ends ever which way.  She's a keeper.

Last night while doing the last increase row on Purl Dreams, the little purple cord broke away from the needle.  This normally would be a quick fix, but there are 1000+ stitches around this blanket.  Two hours to slip it all on waste yarn and another 2 hours today to put them back on needles.  This may end my love affair with a certain needle and cinch the begginning of using the black cords instead of purple.  We'll see.  Three more rows and this gift is complete.  My grandson has knitting plans for me though.  He says we have "options".  He's 4.  :)

That liitle bag went in the mail this morning.  An order from a sweet blogger that is here every week.  I know she wil love those colors!

And I will leave you with the only color in the ravaged garden.  The Quince is flowering.  It looks so alone among all the dead stalks and leaves.  But spring is coming....just not as fast as I would like!

Joining up with Ginny this morning!  Can't wait to see what is on your needles!

  2. You are a knitting machine! Wow. Great results -- your shawl is really beautiful. I like that most of it is knit and not lace. I am sorry to hear about your broken needle. It actually broke, it wasn't an interchangeable that came unscrewed (because that happens to me frequently)? I have kind of fallen out of love with the harmony needles lately, too. The last needles I bought were Knitter's Pride and I think they are sturdier.

    1. The cord separated from the needle at both ends. I've had this happen so many times. I also have a set of Knitters Pride and am switching over to those block cords. So happy they can be interchanged with the KP needles !
