The Hitofude cardigan has been cast on. I watched others knit this so I'm hoping for a great outcome!! The orange yarn is the provisional cast on. I'm enjoying this so far. It is just a 8 row repeat that is pretty easy to remember. But I am really not a fast knitter, so it may be Christmas before you see anything else on the needles!
I made my library trip today and picked up a few fiction and one by Scott Hahn that I haven't read. Hopefully there will be something that will capture my interest.
As I posted yesterday....Nina Pham, the nurse with Ebola, was a high school classmate of my youngest daughter. Both went on to become nurses. Please continue to offer up prayers for Nina and her family.
And if you are a reporter reading this... please don't leave any more messages on my front door requesting an interview :(((
love your hitofude!!! and I will be praying for your daughter's friend.
ReplyDeleteOh wow..I love how it makes that V shape. I'm slow knitter too, so don't feel bad. I almost feel like apologizing every yarn along post "Still knitting the cowl...""Yup, cowl again..." *weak grin* Praying for Nina.
ReplyDeleteYour hitofude is looking lovely so far! Scott Hahn is a great author. I actually came across some cassette tapes of him and his wife Kim while cleaning over the weekend. I am praying for Nina. And I agree - the press should just stay away. They were in our office the day after my brother died last month looking for interviews, press releases, etc... so darn rude!
ReplyDeleteI will continue to pray for Nina; knowing there's a connection makes it all the more real. I hold nurses with the highest regard. Certainly a calling from God of some of the most tender and brave. The cardigan is going to be lovely, I adore the color.
ReplyDeleteI am a super slow knitter. But I think that makes me better ;). Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray for Nina and now for Amber Joy as well. God be with them.
ReplyDeleteContinued prayers for Nina! Your Hitofude looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteLord have mercy on Nina! and my goodness reporters show some manners!!! Lovely knit. Somehow I think you will be done before Christmas :) much love to you!
ReplyDeleteI too am a slow knitter. I like the yarn you are using. Prayers for Nina.
ReplyDeleteLovely knitting... I am not only slow, but my skills keep me on simple projects! I admire anything that requires stitch markers, haha! So sad about your daughter's friend. Praying for her family and friends!
ReplyDeleteGOD bless her! I know she will pull through. As a nurse , just retired, I have only the most admiration for her and I know she did her very best. They have to get a handle on this ebola ...
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is an ER nurse and she is worried too.
Sorry to hear about your daughters friend! Hoping for fast recovery. Your knitting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm a slow knitter too! I've been working on my crochet projects lately so that I have something to show for my time. ;-) Love the start of your sweater though! The pattern is very pretty.
ReplyDeletePrayers for Nina.
