This life of mine....these days are the work of His hands. This little business that has been created, these little souls I am a part of each day, my daughters that still need their mother, and my husband who has been the other part of our united front for almost 36 years.... this is God's work and I am just a vessel.
The day blew in cold. Coffee and scripture always begins the day. Warmth in the stomach and warmth in the heart.
Laundry. It never ends.
Making the bed is an essential part of the day. If nothing else gets done, that one task makes me feel like something has. And at the end of the day, when I arrive home, that room is in order. Peaceful, orderly, welcoming. Love it!
The dropping temps have called for the hand knit socks to be pulled out! I have about a dozen pair. Last year I didn't add to the stash, but this year new ones are in order. As soon as I complete little Lilah's sweater, socks are being cast on.
And a silk/wool scarf around the neck!
Wednesday mornings are bible study. It is a part of my week that I look forward to. This study keeps me rooted in scripture. It keeps me seeking.
There was a short time at lunch today I was able to knit and watch a little Netflix before carpool began. I love the series Rosemary and Thyme. I'm watching it for the 2nd time. Corny mystery with a gardening theme and a British accent. Fun!
Lilah was first on the pickup today. My true redhead like her mother, my oldest. She has developed such a cute, silly personality, but today she kept repeating the words heard in chapel. Words that are other names for God...Mighty, Counselor, Prince of Peace! You just never know what sticks?:)))
Patrick got a new coat and he was so proud to ear it this cold day. It has lots of pockets. Julia, you may want to check the top left one. I think he put his cookie paper in there:)))
Rachel was last on the pickup today. Brother and sister are so silly together.
Snack after school and a little knitting time before heading home.
Tacos tonight for dinner!
I didn't sleep well last night so it is an early evening for me. Don't forget to linkup with Kathryn!
