Yarn Along Wednesday

Thanks to Ginny for giving us the opportunity to share what we are knitting.  I have completed the Demiluna shawl.

This was a very fun knit using Sunseeker.  The metallic thread that runs through it gives that little bit of sparkle.  I plan on taking this shawl with me this summer on our 2 trips north to give me just that little bit of warmth.

Along with that I am reading Finding Calcutta.  This is the story of a young woman's experience with the Missionaries of Charity and her discovery that " God was calling her to the same kind of holistic service in her own Calcutta - the univeristy world". As I previewed this morning, I noticed I did not post the pic of the book.  Well, I am at my daughter's house and have no access to my pictures.  Just use the link if you please!

The garden is continuing to open.

This spring I am seeing the Indian Hawthorne bloom as it never has!  These lovely blooms are popping out all over.

These Gerbera Daisies just get brighter and brighter.

The Lady Banks Rose continues to spread blooms up and down it's branches.  It surrounds the bird feeder outside the dining room window.  This is my favorite window in the entire house.  I see out this window from the kitchen while I am working.

Hope you find inspiration here!

  2. Oh, glorious spring! It's nice to know it's coming somewhere. We've got 14 inches of hard packed snow and weeks yet until we can see the ground. Your flowers are inspiration in spades.
