Yarn Along with a Finish!!!

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

Today is a short post for two reasons. One, I am suffering from what appears to be an irritated gallbladder, and two, there are many projects in the works as a baby shower is fast approaching. And to that end I present....Lace Braids Blanket.

And both blankets for the new little babe.

There is a lot of sewing happening here and I hope to have that posted next week along with  new knitting just for me!

Reading is illusive at this point.  I just can't settle in.  Any suggestions?

Until then, if you have any suggestions for this gallbladder besides surgery, feel free to leave a comment..  My acupuncturist has a tea I am going to drink as soon as I can get over to him.

As always, thank you Ginny for hosting!

  2. The blanket is just beautiful. That is one lucky baby! How long did it take you to make the blanket? I'm looking for new baby knits for a good friend and this one is a possibility. I'd just like to complete it before the kid is two!

  4. I drink Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar. It helps me regulate my sugar. I know it also helps with gallbladder problems. They write about it in their book but I'm sure you can find some info about it on the Bragg's website.

Your blanket is beautiful! What a wonderful gift.

  6. Beautiful blanket Wanda.
I am sorry to hear about your gallbladder. I have not had that problem, but a lot of my husband's family has and I know it's painful. I have to second Andee and vote for the vinegar, it helps with so much. Take care and I hope you feel better soon.

  7. I drink a couple glasses of apple cider (not apple juice - it needs to be the cider)
And haven't had any discomfort since 2006
I had two friends who had very very difficult gall bladder surgeries so I am like you in wanting to avoid it
    Good luck!

    p.s. your blanket is beautiful
