Three day weekends are wonderful, allowing many of us an extra day with family and friends. I hope your extra time is wonderful and blessed!
Mr. Golfer and I have spent a quiet weekend. Saturday was the beginning of college football and here in the south we take that very seriously! And in this house we bleed burnt orange ( Alma Maters)!
So our weekend began with a day around the television. Of course my knitting was keeping me company as well. UT won and that made the day perfect!
I was also able to pick up a copy of the new Interweave Holiday edition. I am very fortunate to live in the same town where Madeline Tosh has her store. They seem to get the publications before anyone else, so I trotted over there in between games to pick this up. Not the best issue in terms of projects, but there are a couple I may consider.
The V Junkie Sock is coming along. What is that basket it is in you ask? Well, we have a brand new, updated Container Store in town and I stopped by to take a look. This basket is not made out of natural material, but it is knitted and folds flat so that you can take it anywhere. I decided this was perfect to take in the car, on trips, and to knitting group. It is very portable and lightweight.
Since this photo I have turned the heel and am on my way down the foot! Progress! I must figure out the camera setting. I am very disappointed with every picture I took!
Yesterday evening Mr. Golfer and I were able to enjoy dinner and swimming at our friend's house. They have recently built a house out on the prairie. I made my homemade pizza for all and then we spent quite a bit of time in the pool. That included water guns as well!Today Mr. Golfer was supposed to head to the driving range, but behold, it is raining! We have been dry for weeks, so this is lovely and needed. I may venture over to the antique mall that is nearby and do a little looking.
I hope your weekend is lovely! Please consider linking up so we can see your weekend as well!

ReplyDeleteThis sounds like the perfect weekend! UT winning makes it even better!
ReplyDeleteWe only got a few drops of rain over here in Dallas County. I've been to that MadTosh store and it's pretty nice. The swimming and pizza sounds wonderful!
