He's here!  Whew!  What a week this has been.  The decision was made Wednesday to  induce labor if Luke did not decide to come on his own by Friday the 20th..  At the Dr. appt. the sono approximated weight at 8.8 lbs.  Not knowing if that size baby " would fit"  the induction date was scheduled for Saturday the 21st at 6 am.  As my daughter was leaving the house Saturday morning, contractions began on their own.  By the time she arrived at the hospital, they were regular enough not to need any intervention.  I guess baby Luke decided if this was going to happen he was going to do it his way!

Progress was fairly quick and we arrived at the hospital about an hour before he was born. Boy were we surprised when the weight was 9lbs.  8oz!  My daughter never even pushed.  Luke just made his own way!

All but one of the girls were there.  Yes, we are a happy and proud family when new ones are added.

Luke's sisters, Lilah and Evelyn are a little unsure.  Lilah was so young when Evelyn was born that she has really never know life without her.  But, this brother, they seem to be a little wary of.

And of course, the first thing after his bath, we wrap him in hand knits.  What could be more perfect!

    1. Yes, the nurses at the hospital were amazed by all the knitted items. My daughter was working on a sock and they all kept talking about the patient who was knitting!
