Yarn Along...Hello!

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

Yes, it has been a
week since I wrote in this space. Everytime I sat down to put words here I just sighed.  A dry spell I suppose?   But, the weather has warmed up here in Texas and the allergies are in full force, plus a migraine caused a blood vessel to burst in my eye and that put me down for a day.  So, here we are.

I am making good progress on the Purl Dreams blanket.  I am just about to end the 3rd skein and it is still a little smaller than I would like or that my neice requested.  So I will add one more skein and then begin the ruffle.  The Whipporwill shawl is making a nice distraction although both are mostly knit and purl.  But the colors are so bright it makes me smile.  Twenty-five more rows and I can begin the CC.

I added a few skeins today to my stash.  As luck would have it, my Chiropractor's office is 5 minutes from Mad Tosh, so I popped over there today.  Yes I came out with a lovely skein of Tosh Sock.  :))  And then at knitting social this afternoon I had to find a home for 2 skeins of Crock O Dye.  The blue was just too pretty to leave it on the shelf.

It was mentioned on one of the blog's last week about  Mrs. Lincoln's Rival.  I had read the prior book, Mrs. Lincoln's Dressmaker.  It was difficult to finish so I didn't think I should give this one a try.  But, there it was on the library shelf and it hopped into my hands. ( lots of things hopping into my hands these days!)  So far I am ok. It is moving faster than I thought, but she spends a lot of time on the details.  Will see how it goes.

Joining Ginny for another week of lovelies!

    1. Yes! It is an act of sacrifice not to be in there all the time!

  3. These knits are so beautiful! And the photographs with green grass makes me jealous, all I can see is white right now.
