Yarn Along... Promises Promises

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs.  I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading?

As you can see it is not finished and to make matters worse, as I was connecting my camera to the computer last night to upload pictures, something went very wrong.  It was not a good tech day all around. except that Mr. Golfer surprised me with a new iPad Mini.  I pretty much live off my iPad.  More than my phone, that device is with me all the time.  I never leave home without it.  My knitting is all on it and with the cellular connection, I use it for my business.  The IPad 2 I was using just could not support all I needed to do.

The blanket is one repeat away from being finished and if it were not for a lot of frogging, it would be complete.  Why?  Because I got wrapped up in a new Netflix drama... Monarch of the Glen.  I'm a sucker for British TV.

I was also sure that the next blanket would be the same pattern as the current, but I think now I just couldn't do another this soon.  I'm searching around and need to find an option soon.  There is a month deadline!

Reading is still the same as last week although I have added this book.  I can't for the life remember where I saw this.  Someone's blog I'm sure.  It arrived yesterday and I have just opened it.  A review next week!

Linking up with Ginny!

  3. I love your chevron blanket pattern. I just finished a chevron quilt and now I am looking for a knit blanket idea for my girls. My 13year old would love this design. I came your way from the yarn along. That book is very good...I read it a few years back. Happy blanket knitting to you!

  5. Knitting a blanket seems like such a large undertaking! But, it is beautiful :-) I can't watch tv and knit at the same time, I always end up making mistakes...sometimes it is ok...but I usually get too into the tv show and forget what I am doing.

  6. blanket is looking fabulous, but I so understand not launching right in to the same pattern again. (I had to do that last summer for twins-----and did the mitered 'dot' blanket....after two, I was DONE for awhile!!!!)

  10. Your blanket is so pretty. So sorry you had to frog. I like my mini iPad also although I tend to use my laptop more often. I like the idea of using if for knit/crochet patterns. I always worry that I will run out of memory so I tend to print the patterns.

    1. I went back and exchanged the mini for the Air. The size was just too small for me.
